Our History
The Aristocrat and The Adobe Assisted Living Centers are a second-generation family owned and operated business, organized under WNG Inc., and first established by Wes and Nadine Handy. A World War II veteran and former professor at New Mexico State University, Wes Handy became a consultant and entrepreneur. Together with Nadine, a childhood development professional, they opened their first care facility in 1986.
A former attorney residing in Santa Fe, Wes and Nadine's son Grey Handy presently operates the assisted living part of the family business which consists of three assisted living centers. There are two centers in Las Cruces, NM, The Aristocrat and The Adobe and one in Alamogordo, NM also under The Aristocrat name.
WNG Inc., also owns and operates six pre-school and child development centers and a home care services business. The company employs over 500 people.
